VPRO launches the 24H Cinema Service, a movie database that allows visitors to rate their favourite titles. Their ratings, combined with other users’ ratings, provide them with tailormade filmtips: ‘people with similar tastes also loved these movies’. The 24H Cinema Service offers uptodate TV-listings and movietheater programs. Users can opt-in on emailservices. An emailservice warns them if any of the movies in their personal filmtips or any other category-, actor- or country-listing they subscribed to is listed on TV or in a movietheater.

This website featured an early elaborate solution for rounded corners. All database content was presented in ‘slice-9′ like table layouts which allowed for fluid layouts but consistent design.
