We were very lucky to receive free tickets for Olafur Eliasson in the Martin Gropius building from a very nice lady at the Showroom EnBW Berlin on the Schiffbauerdamm. Especially when those tickets allowed us to skip the block-long line for the Frida Kahlo that was on another floor.
Inside we found Eliasson’s Weather Project: blinded and desoriented by heavy mist visitors are lead into maze. At first the mist is bright green, turning to blue as you progress foot by foot to the next room. By the time you reach the third, bright red room your sense of depth perception has shut off and you’re very much left in the here and now. A wonderful installation, if you have the chance, go see this.
