Christmas is not a good time to arrive in Berlin. Musea are closed, shops are closed and because four out of five inhabitants leave for their family in the country, many restaurants are closed as well. It takes a couple of days for the city to come back to life. But it’s a perfect opportunity to take your camera out into town.

Hamburger Bahnhof

Aedes had a pretty exhibition, be it not very educational.

Berlinische Galerie

The Berlinische Galerie hosted the exhibition Geschlossene Gesellschaft, with a lot of DDR photography.


At KW Berlin the main building stood in the light of the exhibition One On One about loss and repositioning of privacy.


The Südgelände in the south of Berlin are a former shunting station that has been reclaimed by nature and then turned into a park.
