Locked in between Wijk aan Zee, the north sea dunes, the blast furnaces and the harbour lies the steel sculpture garden Een Zee van Staal (A Sea of Steel). It’s the result of Wijk aan Zee’s 1999 status of Cultural Village of Europe.
The large clumsy steel objects between grazing Galloway cattle, and the clash between sea and dunes on one side and industry and harbour on the other, make this an intriguing location.
