Walking through the David Cronenburg exhibition I regretted not having seen more of his work. The EYE filmmuseum again fulfilled the potential of the new space across the Amsterdam IJ. I couldn’t help but chuckle at some of Cronenberg’s gory effects, but from what I’ve seen he is a serious filmmaker and not at all a shocker for the sake of it.
