Jan Rothuizen illustrates the history of the current home of De Appel.
Formerly known as Fantasio, it was one of the youth clubs co-founded by Willem de Ridder, together with Paradiso and de Melkweg. According to some of the legends depicted it was one of the places to be for early seventies youth in the Dutch capital.
The current exhibition also shows the work of the nominees for the Prix de Rome.
